Theme #1 - The Loving Mercy of God Mission
This mission focuses on the Mercy of God and is spread over the course of three nights. As we are not just spectators but participants and the focus of God’s mercy, we will incorporate movement or action responses from the people as well. Duration: 1 - 1.5 hrs. each night.
Theme #2 - The Passion of the Christ Mission
This mission focuses on specifically the passion and the death of Our Lord Jesus Christ. But even though the days are spent in our own sinfulness and the suffering of Christ, it cannot end there for we are a resurrection people. We are called to journey with Christ through all of this but we must look to the resurrection for our hope or we are a dead people.
This mission is spread over the course of three nights and begins with the Last Supper. Movement by the participants will be an essential part of the mission and their journey to the resurrection. Duration: 1 - 1.5 hrs. each night.
Theme #3 - To Praise, To Bless, To Preach
This mission focuses on the mandate of every Dominican. St. Dominic was convinced that the focus of every follower of the gospel is to always and everywhere speak and live what Jesus taught. The only way that we can do this is to praise, to bless and to preach. Again, this mission is spread over the course of three nights and continues with incorporating movement or action responses to foster participation of the people for whom the mission is offered.
This mission can be offered either during the lenten or advent season or just any time that a parish needs a spark to be ignited in the hearts of the faithful. Duration: 1 - 1.5 hrs. each night.
Theme #4 - To Praise, To Bless, To Preach; A Day of Recollection
The above theme has been developed into a day of recollection especially for parish staffs and groups that work closely together. There are unique dynamics that have been planned to look at and develop levels of trust and encourage ministers to renew their commitment to follow Christ in their every day lives. Duration: 4-5 hrs.
Theme #5 - Time, Talent and Treasure
This theme deals with the reality of an ever increasing situation in many of our communities, the few vs the many. There are many people who don’t realize that their contribution is more than just the minimal but it is a total giving of one’s self to God. This one day mission deals with helping people see the reality and own it. Duration: 1 - 1.5 hrs.
